Most goods that need to be kept in a refrigeration truck body have a short shelf life. Especially in the summer, the goods are more prone to decay and deterioration. The refrigeration units remains to be a core component of a refrigerated truck and that explains why the remain to be popular.
While refrigeration units running time is too long, the compressor is prone to issues, which leads to damage to the entire refrigeration system. For this reason, you need to check the body temperature every 4 hours and observe whether the temperature reading in the refrigerated compartment is within the range of plus or minus 6 degrees Celsius set by the temperature controller. In case the temperature is not within this range, it may be due to a couple of reasons and the problem needs to be solved as per the specific situation.
One reason behind this might be the fact that the refrigerator is in defrost or has just finished its defrost cycle. If this is the case, it can be left alone, wait for the end of the refrigeration machine defrost and then do the check again. Maybe the evaporator may be blocked. In this scenario, you need to carry out a defrost operation to defrost the evaporator on the body.
Before loading anything onto the refrigeration truck body, you need to check everything that is required. Check the truck-related system such as the power system of the transport refrigerated truck to confirm that the vehicle is able to start normally. You need to check the time setting of the temperature recorded on the refrigerator truck and check that there is no damage inside and outside the compartment. While doing this, ensure that the compartment and the ceiling strip are in good condition.
The doors must be securely locked and the ceiling strip must be well sealed. If possible, pre-cool the refrigerated vehicle. In the driver’s cab, start the truck refrigeration unit and temperature monitoring and alarm system. During the pre-cooling process, the compartment door must be closed to prevent the outside air from affecting the refrigeration effects and prolong the time needed for the pre-cooling of the transport refrigerated body.
Turn the refrigeration unit off when the refrigerated truck is pre-cooled to the coldest temperature needed by transport. After the refrigeration system is stopped, the frozen meat can be loaded into the truck and the loading must be fast to prevent the outflow of cold air.
