Apple newest range of media devices and wearables are now on salethe AirPods 5, Apple Watch Series 12, and Apple Watch Ultra 4 are now being sold through Apple Stores and by other retailers and vendors worldwide. The devices were officially released for sale on 18 September but had earlier pre-order periods.
The launch introduces new features to Apple consumers in the wireless audio and smartwatch space, with Apple emphasizing health AI fitness, and daily utility. The three iterations of the product are also launched in India, and Apple providing local starting prices:
In India the AirPods 5 are priced at 14,900 and for the AirPods 5 with Wireless Charging Case it is priced at 17,900. Both the models feature the Active Noise Cancellation for the first time in Apple’s open ear AirPods. As claimed by Apple the new system is able to cut down the 1.5 times more ambient noise compared to the previous AirPods 4 with ANC.
The Air Pods 5 introduce a new sound experience with a redesigned acoustic architecture and Adaptive EQ. With a compatible Apple device, the user can use Transparency mode, personalized Spatial Audio, Live Translation and hands free features of Siri AI. The package including Wireless Charging Case is available with a volume controls on the stems, wireless charging and a longer battery life up to 22 hours of listening with a case when the devices can turn on ANC.
The Apple Watch Series 12 is priced at starts at 56,900 in India. Its main new feature is the new Health Sensing System, which Apple claims offers more regular heart-rate and heart-rate variability readings. These are used to new health and fitness tools like a readiness score to help users understand how prepared their body might be for activity or recovery.
Series 12 is supported by the S11 chip from Apple and also new introduced features named Audio Intelligence which are meant to be a reminder of critical conversations and sounds. Certain features are getting rolled out gradually and might vary based on location/language.
If you want a more rugged smartwatch, the Apple Watch Ultra 4 costs from 1 09 900 rupees in India. It has a 49mm titanium case and a display up to 3,000 nits, with improved health and fitness tracking. Apple claims the Ultra 4 can offer up to 45 hours of outdoor workout tracking and offers improved GPS performance.
The Ultra 4 also has the same new Health Sensing System and S11 chip that is present on Series 12. The Ultra 4 covers also a range of features like high frequency heart-rate and HRV readings recovery ECG and sleep tracking, temperature sensing and advanced safety features. It is equipped with 100 metres water resistance and has a depth gauge for activities in a depth of up to 40 metres.
